THE REPOSITORY

I kinda walked away from this, but here I am to stir the pot.
What I'm seeking is some kind of respository for sweet comps. Every time I hear an artist whose work I haven't fully embraced for one reason or another, I think to myself, "wouldn't it be nice to have a comp?"
Artists on my list right now:
Buddy Miller
Buddy Holly
Buddy Hackett
Emitt Rhodes
Del Shannon
Roger Clyne
Loudon Wainwright III
Roger Miller
... get the idea?
So, other than doing what I've proposed, does anyone have a good idea of how to go about setting up such a repository?
np "Theologians" ... trying decide whether I like or hate this song ... leaning latter
And hey Courtney, congrats, the SB should be pretty cool
THE BATTLE OF THE COMPS

Welcome to the fourth round of the Monthly Swap. Alright, I think we'll go ahead and settle on the 12 (twelve) people (plus me = 13 (thirteen)) who've expressed interest to date.
I will start by requesting 3 (three) volunteers who will spearhead the swap by presenting their first comp between now and the holidays. First three to reply will be "team leaders" and we'll take it from there.
The rules are out there already, but to be clear, we've okayed the YSI format, so basically, each team will be comprised of 3 (three) members, each of whom will be responsible for delivering a quarterly comp. Ideally, comps will follow each other sequentially on a monthly basis, but once the teams are formed, I will leave it to y'all to work things out. Heck, let's make this interesting and turn this into a little showdown. After the conclusion of each round (which, in this case, will be circa March 2010), I'll ask each team to present one finished (and revised, if necessary) comp to the entire group, and we'll determine a "winner." So let's say someone delivers a pretty top-tier Sam Cooke comp, but maybe he/she left off an essential track for whatever reason - that group could revise the comp, pretty it up however they choose, and "present it" to the entire group of the thirteen (13) of us. Thus, month 4 will be "battle of the comps." I will solicit votes offlist and there will be a "best comp" prize (to be named).
If this is a bit much, so be it.
Let's get this party started - 3 volunteers?
